Directions to Devens

Devens is located in Ayer, MA in the northeast central part of the state, just off route 2 and I495. From either direction from I-495 take exit 30 (2A/110) and turn toward Ayer (that's to the NW). From either direction, you will make a left turn onto Rt 2A. Follow 2A all that way to Bishop road. You will go through a rotary about 5 1/2 mi from I-495. Continue on 2A which is the second exit in the rotary (straight across, just past the MacDonalds). You will then go about 1 mile and be in the center of downtown Ayer. 2A will take a right turn just past the main business district; there will be a Mobil station on your left at that corner. Travel about 1/2 a mile. A couple of hundred yards after Dunkin Donuts, take a left onto Bishop Road. After the cemetery (on left) go through the first gate. Two hundred yards after this, bear right at the 'Y'. This will take you into the site.

Pro Class/Open Class Challenge

It is the intent of the NESCC Pro Class to attract top level talent to NESCC events by giving them better competition and a financial incentive. Additionally, Pro vs. open classes are intended to fulfill the same rolls as open vs. novice classes in some other programs. Anybody who chooses to may compete in the Pro Class and nobody is required to.

The top 8 open class leaders, determined by RTP time of best morning run, will qualify for the open class challenge round.

Membership

Membership is not required to participate in our events. Starting with the 2003 season, now that NESCC is a chapter of the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America (NER/SCCA) NESCC will be accepting only valid SCCA membership cards for membership privileges. You may join SCCA at any event while you are at registering for the days activities.

RTP

What is RTP you say? RTP is a system used to give a rough estimate of what times would be if all competitors in the different classes had driven one car. The key words here are "rough estimate". It's not an exact science, but just a way to let people compare their times across classes. Current RTP values can be found here.
